How much ore and charcoal does Windrose smelting use?

One Copper Ingot uses 4 Copper Ore and 1 Charcoal. One Foothills Iron Ingot uses 3 Foothills Iron Ore and 1 Charcoal. Both are crafted in a Smelting Furnace. Enter the total ingots you want; ingots already owned reduce the amount you need to smelt.

Copper and iron smelting example

With no materials owned, 20 Copper Ingots and 10 Foothills Iron Ingots need 80 Copper Ore, 30 Foothills Iron Ore and 30 Charcoal. The inventory maximum reserves fuel for the other ingot type you selected.

Does this include the furnace and charcoal production?

Enable missing station costs to add a Smelting Furnace: 15 Clay and 30 Stone. Enter an existing furnace to remove that cost. Charcoal is treated as a fuel item; the calculator does not convert wood into charcoal or estimate smelting time. It models the ordinary furnace, not automatic substitution of a Large Smelting Furnace.
